On Saturday, 12th April 2025, the people of Brighton & Hove once again took to the streets in solidarity with the people of Palestine for our ‘March for Gaza’.
Over 500 people marched through the city to show their unwavering support for the people of Gaza. The procession was led by babies’ coffins, powerfully symbolising the (at least) 17,000 children known to have been slaughtered by the Israel Offence Forces since Oct-23. Many more are unaccounted for.
Despite ludicrous provocations from local Zionist agitators, the march was a powerful reminder that even if our media no longer talk about Gaza, Israel’s genocide there is very much ongoing.
The procession ended with a “die-in” outside Churchill Square on Western Road, a necessary reminder to the public that while they’re shopping, Israeli bombs continue dropping on innocent Palestinian men, women, and children.
Although unable to attend on the day, Brighton Pavilion MP Sian Berry sent a well-received statement (which you can read, below) against Israeli genocide and in support of the people of Gaza.
