Date/Time
Date(s) - 11 Nov 2023
12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Please join the London march on Saturday 11 Nov if you possibly can,
and stay tuned for details of our local event the following weekend on Sunday 19 Nov.
Thanks to our many members and supporters who joined us for a massive march and rally this past Sunday, Nov 5th, to demand an immediate ceasefire. We estimated as many as 2,500 people joined the march. You’ll find a selection of photos taken on the day on our website. These will have been seen all over the world, and especially in Gaza. We hope this will hearten our Palestinian comrades at this very dark time.
This was one of the biggest pro-Palestine demonstrations in the history of the city, and provides a clear indication of the strength of feeling amongst local people – regardless of their background, faith or political affiliation. The demo sent an unambiguous message to our city council: by not calling for an immediate ceasefire, you are out of step with your constituents.
It would appear that the need for solidarity with the people of Palestine will only become greater over the next few weeks.
NATIONAL MARCH FOR PALESTINE – CEASEFIRE NOW!
London Saturday 11 Nov
Assemble Hyde Park 12 noon
Start of march at approx 12.45pm
March to US Embassy in Vauxhall
Further details to follow
On Saturday 28 October, half a million marched in London to demand an immediate ceasefire. Since that time, the death and destruction – in Gaza and also on the West Bank – have continued without let-up. And still the UK government (and the so-called opposition) do not demand a ceasefire. This coming Saturday, the intention is for a million of us to march.
We’re encouraging all our members and supporters to join the London march if you possibly can.
You may have seen reports that Braverman and the Met Police are considering a ban. The coalition organising the march have issued a defiant public statement, asserting their (our) determination to hold the march as planned.
Organised by: Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Friends of Al-Aqsa, Stop the War Coalition, Muslim Association of Britain, Palestinian Forum in Britain, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

Sunday 19 Nov 2pm
National PSC and its coalition partners have announced their intention to hold major national demonstrations on alternate weekends during the current crisis. This would mean London demos on Nov 25, Dec 9 etc.
Our intention for the foreseeable future is to hold local events on the other alternate weekends.
Our next local event will be held at the Peace Statue on the seafront on Sunday 19 November at 2pm. We’ll announce details of the event as soon as we can.
