Palestinian Prisoners’ Day – Wednesday 17 April

April 17, 2013

Date/Time
Date(s) - 17 Apr 2013
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

April 17th is International Palestinian Prisoners’ Day. Events will be held around the country, drawing attention to the plight of Palestinian prisoners, and to the associated despicable Israeli practices of administrative detention, imprisonment of children etc. The particular target, as part of our ongoing campaign of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, is G4S – a company with many activities in the UK, but which is heavily involved in the management of Israeli prisons. To find out more visit the website of national PSC.

We intend to mark Prisoners’ Day by distributing cards at the ‘Thatcher funeral gathering’ at 6pm at the Clock Tower in central Brighton. The cards inform the public about G4S’s complicit practice and profiteering, and publicise the campaign against G4S.
