URGENT UPDATE
The boat “Freedom” will not now be leaving from Brighton Marina on Friday as planned. Instead, it will leave us from Shoreham, a few miles west of Brighton.
Assemble 8.30am at Kingston Beach in Shoreham – details below.
For supporters wishing to wave “Freedom” off on Friday morning, the best spot will be on Kingston Beach in Shoreham, on the green adjacent to the RNLI Lighthouse (postcode BN43 6RN). There is free parking at the lighthouse. The Stagecoach 700 bus from Brighton going towards Worthing stops at the lighthouse. You will have an excellent view of “Freedom” as it passes through the lock gates of Shoreham Harbour and sails out into the Channel on the next stage of its voyage to Gaza.
The estimated time for the boat’s departure is 9am. Please arrive at the lighthouse at 8.30am.
Apologies for this change to the published programme.

We’re delighted to be hosting “Freedom”, one of the boats taking part in the current Flotilla to Gaza
“Freedom”, one of four boats sailing from Scandinavia to Gaza, will be stopping in Brighton from the 5th till the 8th of June, with a crew of activists bringing a message of solidarity to the besieged people of Gaza, and a message to the British government that its support for the 11-year illegal blockade of Gaza must end.
Their arrival in Brighton is eagerly anticipated, and a wide range of activities are being planned around the visit. Please see other pages on our website for details of these other activities.
We hope that supporters from near and far will join us to show support and solidarity with the crew of “Freedom” as it sails from Shoreham Harbour on Friday June 8th.
