Monday 22nd – Arts A1 – 6pm
Apartheid 101 – Want to learn what Apartheid is, and how the word can be applied to the system within Israel – as well as learn about the Palestinian call for the boycott of Israel then come along! We will be joined by Dr. Jacob Norris, a lecturer in Middle Eastern History, Alan Lester, Professor of Historical Geography, and a Palestinian student.
Tuesday 23rd – Arts A1 – 6pm
The Politics of Incarceration – Join us for a discussion on the politics of incarceration both in Britain and Palestine. Hear from Sahar Francis, the director of Addameer, a Palestinian civil society organisation that supports Palestinian political prisoners detained in Israeli prisons and from activists in the Migrant Solidarity movement across Britain.
Wednesday 24th – Chichester 3 – 2pm
Film screening of The Wanted 18, a film about the efforts of the residents of Beit Sahour who tried to start a local dairy collective during the First Intifada in a quest for greater self-sufficiency. The Israeli security forces deemed the 18 dairy cows a threat to national security, forcing the residents of Beit Sahour to find ways to hide the cows.
Friday 26th – Arts A1 – 6pm
A lecture from Rashid Khudairi, the Palestinian co-ordinator of the Jordan Valley Solidarity Project, a network of grassroots Palestinian organisations in the Jordan Valley who work to resist the ongoing Israeli occupation, and protect Palestinian existence in the Jordan Valley.
