David Sheen: Israeli Racism – what future for justice and human rights?

July 14, 2015

Date/Time
Date(s) - 14 Jul 2015
7:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Israeli Racism

What future for justice and human rights?

David Sheen is an independent journalist and film maker from Canada now living in Israel. He has reported for the Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz. His lecture/slideshow will focus on Israeli incitement to racist violence, drawn from his reporting. It shows the dehumanizing discourse towards Palestinians, Africans and other non-Jews by top Israeli political and religious leaders, and the vigilante attacks they inspire, which spiked during last summer’s assault on Gaza. It will include material he presented at the Russell Tribunal on Palestine, as well as brand new information not yet made public.

The talk will discuss the impact and meaning of Israeli racism for the future of the Palestinians in  Israel, the West Bank and the refugee camps.
