Friends Meeting House (small lecture theatre)
Ship Street, Brighton
Brighton and Hove PSC invite you to a meeting with US BDS* activist Anna Baltzer. She is at Sussex University that day and, at the suggestion of Michael Deas (BDS European Co-ordinator), has also asked to meet Palestine supporters in Brighton, as she is particularly involved in the US campaign against Sodastream. It will be a good opportunity to find out what is happening in the BDS campaigns in the United States, share information and discuss tactics.
We can use the evening as a discussion and planning session, so if you have questions and suggestions for discussion topics please email them to ann.hallam@talk21.com and we can make an agenda for the meeting.

Anna Baltzer
Anna is co-founder of the St. Louis Palestine Solidarity Committee. Since 2010, she has worked as National Organizer with the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation.
As a volunteer with the International Women’s Peace Service in the West Bank, Anna documented human rights abuses and supported Palestinian-led nonviolent resistance to the Occupation. Anna has also appeared on television more than 100 times (including The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where she appeared alongside Palestinian presidential candidate and nonviolence leader Dr. Mustafa Barghouti) and has lectured at more than 500 universities, schools, churches, mosques, synagogues, and policy institutes around the world with her full-colour book “Witness in Palestine: A Jewish American Woman in the Occupied Territories”. Earlier in the day at Sussex University she is presenting her acclaimed presentation, “Life in Occupied Palestine: Eyewitness Stories & Photos”.
