Brighton Demo
Meet at 12 noon at the Clock Tower
In Brighton we have been protesting outside EcoStream (Sodastream’s only UK shop) since 9th September 2012. We have successfully highlighted the shop’s connections with apartheid Israel and its illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian West Bank, and many local people refuse to buy their products as a result. You can find out more about the campaign here.
The campaign is going national! On Saturday the 28th of September, activists all over the UK will be picketing shops in their local areas that stock Sodastream products, and encouraging local people to join the boycott of Sodastream.
In Brighton, to mark the end of our first year of protesting, we are planning special events all over the city. We’ll be joined by like-minded groups including trade unions, anti-racist campaigners, members of local churches, synagogues and mosques, and generally people of conscience. Our message will be ‘Boycott SodaStream – No to business from illegal Israeli settlements in our town!’
We’ll be meeting at 12 noon at the Clock Tower. Join us!
