Swim With Gaza on Sunday 23rd August!

Update: Thursday 20th August, following the tragic drowning earlier this week of the Al-Khawas family in Shoreham.
Brighton & Hove PSC was devastated to learn that it was a Palestinian family who so tragically drowned in Shoreham on Tuesday (18th August). Our thoughts and prayers are with their friends and family – and especially their other child who remains critically ill in hospital.
We’ve decided that our Swim With Gaza event this Sunday (23rd August) will go ahead as planned. But please join us at the start of the event, shortly after 1pm, to pay our respects to the Al-Khawas family (Hossam Al-Khawas, Zeina Alayn and their daughter, Sara). Feel free to bring flowers.
We’ll be on Hove seafront, in front of the Bandstand on Kings Road. We hope you can make it.

Join BHPSC and Sussex Parents 4 Palestine on Sunday 23rd August as we celebrate the third annual international Swim With Gaza event!
We’ll be on the beach by Hove Bandstand from 1pm. Please join us for a solidarity swim, paddle & picnic. Bring refreshments.

The Swim With Gaza project is raising funds for swimming lessons for children in Gaza, helping them cope with the trauma of living through nearly 3 years of genocide. You can read more about it in this excellent Guardian article.
