We continue to mount a strong protest every Saturday afternoon at the EcoStream store in Western Road – just to the east of Waitrose supermarket. This has become an extremely important campaign: the number of supporters joining us on the protest is growing, and the small counter-demonstration is becoming more and more frustrated by the hugely positive response we get from the public. Most sensible people are understandably outraged to learn that the shop is so complicit in the illegal occupation of Palestine and the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people – masquerading as green!
What can you do to help?
Join us at the protest! Handing out leaflets, engaging with interested passers-by, holding banners, and just adding to the numbers always helps.
Sign our online petition! and encourage others to do so. Our aim is to hand the petition to Caroline Lucas MP in front of the shop, probably in March, so the more signatures we can collect the better.
Write to MPs, local councillors and the press to complain about the continued presence of the shop. The Argus has featured a number of articles about EcoStream – most of them favourable.
