The ‘talks’ in Cairo have broken down. Israel’s bloody assault on Gaza has resumed, wreaking more death and destruction. Hundreds of thousands of people are homeless, power supplies are destroyed, water and sanitation facilities are shattered. We must continue to send a clear message from Brighton & Hove to End the Siege on Gaza!
STOP ARMING ISRAEL!
The UK sells Israel millions of pounds worth of deadly weapons used to bomb the people of Gaza. We call on the UK government to end its complicity in the two-way arms trade with Israel. There is now real momentum internationally for an arms embargo of Israel. Stop Arming Israel!
END THE OCCUPATION OF PALESTINE!
Israel’s occupation of the rest of Palestine continues. The construction of illegal colonial settlements, the imprisonment of hundreds of Palestinians without due process, house demolitions, land annexation – Israel’s policies of apartheid and racism are unchecked. End the occupation of Palestine!
BOYCOTT ISRAEL!
The Palestinians have called on the international community to organise boycotts of Israeli companies to force it to comply with international law. At the rally on August 24th we are launching a campaign to urge Brighton & Hove City Council to join the boycott movement. The Council will debate this in October, and they need to know that the people of the city fully support it. Make Brighton & Hove a City for Palestine!
