As part of the referendum for the Students’ Union to endorse the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, Ben White is coming to Sussex to make the case for BDS.
From Sodasteam being forced to shut its doors in Brighton and move its factory out of an illegal Israeli settlement, to protesters successfully turning away an Israeli cargo ship in California, the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement is gaining momentum.
Ben White is a journalist who has written for the Guardian, Al Jazeera and Electronic Intifada, and is the author of Israeli Apartheid: A Beginners Guide and Palestinians in Israel: Segregation, Discrimination and Democracy. He will be talking about why international solidarity is needed and what we can concretely do to support the Palestinians.
