The Argus published a short article and photo last week about some grafitti at a local synagogue. Brighton and Hove Palestine Solidarity Campaign was quoted in the article. The quotes were extracts taken from a longer conversation with one of our members. The Argus chose not to publish the full interview, in which it was made clear that BHPSC absolutely does not condone vandalising a synagogue as a form of ‘protest’, or at any time, even though the slogan ‘Free Gaza’ is not in itself antisemitic, as the Rabbi stated in the Argus article. BHPSC is an avowedly anti-racist campaign. Our campaign is a multi-ethnic one, with members and supporters from many religions including a number from the local Jewish community.
